Zhaoqin Jiang (a.k.a. Kushim Jiang, 姜兆勤) is a Software Development Engineer at the Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is an Invited Expert of the Ideographic Research Group (IRG) of ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 2/WG 2, and has long-term participation in IRG, UTC, UTC/CJK and UTC/SEW meetings.

Since 2017, he has worked on the collation, review, encoding and standardization of rare Han ideographs used in personal names, place names and large dictionaries. Since 2020, he has been engaged in the collation, encoding, font development and standardization of living minority scripts and ancient Chinese ethnic scripts, including Mongolian, Tai Xaau, Classical Yi, Nüshu and Khitan Small Script. His current research focuses on character sets for complex writing systems, font engineering, and text-shaping engine development.
